Conception opto-mécanique / Opto-mechanical design

The project consists of developing an innovative strategy for assembling a 500-micron photodetector on a silicon chip and characterizing its performance at 10GHz. The photodetector will be rotated 90 degrees on the substrate, micro positioned to ensure alignment with the integrated optical waveguide while ensuring quality electrical contact with the silicon substrate. The goal is to obtain fast, low-cost, compact, and energy-efficient optical microswitches.
